entertaining porn precursor to andrew stevens' thrillers: i loved those '80s hoodlum videos andrew stevens made with shannon tweed, her sister tracy, and others. so it was a pleasant surprise for me to discover a real forerunner of the hardcore genre. revived on vol. 37 from the faux dragon theater series something weird. loaded with a lot of plot material, although the sex inevitably takes over as this was an adult play, the film begins with a wealthy old man hiring private investigator dick scott to install security cameras in his mansion to get the goods for his wife sheila. dick, well played by handsome hero frank harris, duly sleeps not only with sheila, but also with her young stepdaughter, the maid rose, all on the way to a surprise ending. the sex is well filmed and features attractive women, including fan favorite annette michael as masseuse inga. overall it feels like a real movie, except for the ultra-long moments where the sex takes over and everything else is forgotten. the humorous voiceover lacks the expected scope that could push this into noir territory. decent guitar...
